About Northeast Montessori School

The Montessori Method

What parents think

Welcome to Northeast Montessori School!

Northeast Montessori School provides a warm, nurturing learning environment which encourages children to fulfill their potential at their own pace, to foster independence, and to create a lifetime love for learning. We strive to create an environment that encourages children to create themselves through exploration, that provides children with the tools that they need to achieve independence, and that fosters a love for learning by nurturing sparks of curiosity, creativity, and intelligence. With two locations in Danvers, Massachusetts and Revere, Massachusetts, Northeast Montessori School serves children of diverse backgrounds and all ages and is convenient for parents living or working in Boston and the surrounding Northshore communities. Please contact us to learn more about our school and the benefits of a Montessori program for your child.

Enriching opportunities

The Montessori Education provides children with a variety of activities designed to cultivate the child's adaptation and ability to express and think with clarity. Children who receive a Montessori Education tend to have better social and academic skills and are often classified as self-directed problem solvers, and current research supports the belief that the benefits of a Montessori education have a positive long-term impact (visit the American Montessori Society for more information).

For infants, toddlers, preschoolers, and kindergartners

Northeast Montessori School offers nurturing programs for infants and toddlers as well as a preschool and kindergarten program focusing on a love for learning!

Your child will be in good company!

Well-known Montessori graduates include Anne Frank (writer of The Diary of a Young Girl), Jacqueline Kennedy Onassis (First Lady of the United States and Editor at Viking Press), Julia Child (who credits her Montessori education in her book Julia Child and Company for her love of working with her hands), Jeff Bezos (founder of Amazon), Gabriel Garcia Marquez (Nobel Prize-winning novelist), Sergey Brin and Larry Page (co-founders of Google who credit their Montessori education for much of their success), George Clooney (American actor, film director, producer, screenwriter, and social activist), and Princes William and Henry of England.

Here's what parents have to say about Northeast Montessori School

"I am so happy I enrolled my son at Northeast Montessori! Trying to find great care, by people you trust, for your child can be such a challenge but I know my son is in great hands at NEM! All of his teachers have been so great and accommodating and have truly helped him excel. The progress that he's made since enrolling is truly a testament to their hard work and dedication to the children of NEM! I cannot thank them enough for the great work that they do."Amanda Oliveira
"The teachers and staff at Northeast Montessori have not only educated my children academically but have also supported them emotionally through tough times. I cannot thank them enough for the love and support they show them (and the rest of our family) on a daily basis. Their program has allowed them to grow and flourish as learners and individuals. We are so fortunate to be part of such a community."Janel Kennedy
"Since day 1 at Northeast Montessori, Kelli and her staff have made my son Kj feel comfortable, safe and secure. At first, Kj cried all the time at drop off. Over the last year and a half, he has grown so much socially and academically. He LOVES Ms. Leone and now asks when he can go to school to see her. Seeing him excited to go to school makes my husband and me so happy. We couldn't ask for a better experience."Nichole Guilherme
